Tiger Woods never ending comeback has exhausted some people.  I am not one of them.  I am a fan.  I have always had the ability to separate the athlete from the person.  I don’t know Tiger Woods but I have grown to admire his god given ability as a gifted golfer.  I love to play golf myself and realize that the gap between someone like Tiger Woods and me is as wide as you could possibly imagine.  Speaking of imagination, I think about playing a round with him just to marvel at his skills.  Injuries have curtailed other incarnations of comebacks.  This one feels different and looks different.  He is finishing events, he is making cuts and he is looking closer to the former world #1 player.

He just wrapped up round 2 at the Valspar Championship and for the moment he is tied for the lead.  In Thursday’s round he battled windy conditions to be one of the few golfers that scored under par.  He was even better on Friday.  He had 1 bogey and 4 birdies for a 3 under 68.  Tiger is tied for the lead and the sports world is taking notice but more importantly his competitors are too.  I am not sure where this will all end up for Tiger but count me in as someone that wants to see him back to competing on Sunday’s in his famous red shirt.

My sports world is better if Tiger regains that form, I think the golf world will enjoy it too.  I am rooting for Tiger and it would be one of the better comeback stories ever.  Go Tiger, GO!
