Tank Commander here.

While watching Kings games these days, often times we need a companion distraction. Something that allows us to still watch the game, but also….you know…..be entertained.

Those of you that listen to my show (Thanks Dad) know my affinity for the song “Africa” by Toto. I usually come back from break with it once a day, and I believe it to be universally loved and underrated. Everyone likes “Africa”, and it would be a hit if released today.

I love the song so much, I’m honestly thinking of doing a one-off podcast where I do nothing but play the original, and then covers of the song. So I went to spotify, and was shocked at how many different covers there are.

One of you had a very funny response:

Between an “Africa” podcast and my upcoming “Starch Madness” tournament (greatest food item in the starch category), I think I now have enough content for the entire summer.

By the way, the Kings are still losing to Portland.

PS: Congrats to NBC California for perhaps my favorite graphic all year:

Kosta is now his very own category. As well he should be.
