Former A’s Pitcher Dallas Braden Joins NBC Sports Broadcasting

The Oakland Athletics have just announced that former pitcher Dallas Braden is being welcomed onto the NBC Sports Bay Area broadcasting team.

Braden was drafted out of Texas Tech University in the 24th round of the 2004 MLB Draft.Ā  He played with the A’s from 2007 to 2011 and is now starting his new career path in sports broadcasting.

Braden made baseball history in 2010 when he pitched a perfect game against theĀ Tampa Bay Rays on May 9.

During his career in MLB, heĀ was forced to retire in 2014 after not throwing a pitch for two and a half seasons due to a shoulder injury.
