Pavin Smith, 21, was the seventh overall pick in the 2017 Amatuer Baseball Draft.

After receiving a $5 million dollar bonus for signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks, he surprised his parents on Christmas by revealing in a letter that he had used money from his bonus to pay off their mortgage.

Inside Edition has video of his parents reading the Smith’s letter to his parents.
