American Airlines apologized to NBA G League players Marquis Teague and Trahson Burrell after kicking them off of their flight in Dallas, Texas.

Airline spokesman Joshua Freed said that Memphis Hustle, G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, players boarded the flight bound for Sioux Falls, South Dakota, according to The Undefeated.

American Airlines flight attendant accused the two players of theft and forced them off their flight.

Two first-class passengers reportedly gave the players their blankets on their way to their seats in coach, which then landed the players into getting kicked off of their flight.

Freed said an airline manager apologized to the players and they later flew first-class to Sioux Falls.

Hustle head coach Glynn Cyprien and Darnell Lazare, one of his assistants, took to Twitter to voice their frustration after the incident.

American Airlines chief executive Doug Parker told employees last month that the company will implement implicit-bias training.

A source has said Freed is continuing to review the situation.
