Real Madrid soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has been named as the world’s most charitable athlete in 2015 and his newest project is very fitting to the title.
According to Bleacher Report, Ronaldo’s lawyers have said Ronaldo is set to fund the construction of a children’s hospital in Santiago, Chile.
New York based law firm Brafman & Associates noted the facility will be finished before the year 2020. Alessandro Proto will also be a part of funding for the construction of the pediatric facility.
FC Adriana Garcia said that the hospital in Chile is only the first of many children’s hospitals that Ronaldo and Porto plan on building across South America.
Ronaldo is an ambassador for Save the Children, Unicef and World Vision. Earlier in the year, Ronaldo raised over $802k for the Make-A-Wish Foundation when he decided to sell in 2013 Ballon D’or trophy.
