Giancarlo Stanton is a hot topic right now, and reports are surfacing involving talks between the Miami Marlins and San Francisco Giants.
Bleacher Report reports that the Marlins would “likely” trade Giancarlo Stanton to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for Joe Panik, pitching prospect Tyler Beede and outfield prospect Chris Shaw, plus a $250M payout left on Stanton’s deal. That’s $250 million out of a $295 million contract.
This past season, Stanton hit .281/.376/.631 with 59 home runs and 132 runs batted. Adding Stanton to the Giants could help in moving on from a 64-98 season.
