Report: 49ers Claim DL Sheldon Day Off Waivers From Jaguars

With a roster spot open after releasing Tony McDaniel, the San Francisco 49ers have signed defensive lineman Sheldon Day off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Matt Maiocco of NBCS tweeted the news Monday afternoon.
Day was a fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Jaguars out of Notre Dame. He recorded 10 tackles and one sack with the team before being waived by his team on November 18.
He played in just 22 games in two seasons, starting none.
