Republic FC’s Cameron Iwasa Named USL Championship Player of the Week

It was quite a week for Sacramento Republic FC leading goal scorer and fan-favorite Cameron Iwasa, leading the Republic to their first home victory of the season with a hat trick over just an 11 minute span. Sacramento defeated the Oklahoma City Energy FC 4-1 at Papa Murphy’s Park on Sunday.

Iwasa, who is the all-time leading scorer in club history, was named USL Championship Player of the Week for week three of the young season, receiving 62 percent of the votes.
