2019 NFL Draft Tracker And Grades

Welcome to our NFL Draft tracker!

We provided updates throughout tonight’s draft, with thoughts and observations for each pick.

1. Arizona Cardinals | Kyler Murray | QB | Oklahoma

It’s been rumored since Murray declared for the draft and it’s now official. New head coach Kliff Kingsbury gets his quarterback with the No. 1 pick with hopes Murray can turn around the 32nd-ranked offense. Grade: B+

2. San Francisco 49ers | Nick Bosa | EDGE | Ohio State

Bosa was the consensus No. 1 pick until Kingsbury took over the Arizona job. He fell to two and now the 49ers get arguably the best player this draft while filling a positional need with the second pick. Grade: A+

3. New York Jets | Quinnen Williams |IDT | Alabama

The Jets addressed their quarterback situation in the first round last season and now they select who could be the best player on the board. The Jets run defense was ranked 26th and they finished in the bottom half in sacks. Williams should be able to help both. Grade: A+

4. Oakland Raiders | Clelin Ferrell | EDGE | Clemson

With Josh Allen on the board, the Raiders went a different route to fill the need they have on the edge. Ferrell played in a 4-3 at Clemson, which is the same defense the Raiders run. Grade: C+

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Devin White | LB | LSU

The Buccaneers got their guy in White. The ultra-athletic middle linebacker who has the potential to be a top-tier middle linebacker in the NFL. Grade: B

6. New York Giants | Daniel Jones | QB | Duke

The Giants appear to have found their future replacement to Eli Manning with Jones. Jones is a big and athletic quarter with the looks of a future star quarterback. Grade: D+

7. Jacksonville Jaguars | Josh Allen | EDGE | Kentucky

The Jaguars selected Allen to replace Dante Fowler, who they traded to the Rams last season. Allen finished last season with 17 sacks, good for second most in the country. Grade: A

8. Detroit Lions | TJ Hockenson | TE | Iowa

Iowa has a knack of producing big name NFL tight ends with George Kittle being the most recent. Hockenson hopes to be the next one with his ability as a pass catcher who can flex out wide with top-tier blocking abilities. Grade: B

9. Buffalo Bills | Ed Oliver | DT | Houston

The Bills had a hole in the middle of their defensive line after Kyle Williams retired that Oliver should be able to fill. Oliver finished with 14.5 tackles for loss last season at Houston and possibly has the highest ceiling of this defensive tackle class. Grade: A

10. Pittsburgh Steelers | Devin Bush | LB | Michigan

The Steelers traded up from the 20th pick to select Bush with good reason. Bush is a good tackler but what sets him apart is his high-tier pass coverage skills. Grade: B

11. Cincinnati Bengals | Jonah Williams | OT | Alabama

The Bengals quarterback situation is still up in the air but the guy who is protecting them has been solved. Williams is a mauler at the line who didn’t give up a single sack with the Crimson Tide last season. Grade: A+

12. Green Bay Packers | Rashan Gary | IDT | Michigan

The Packers take the second Wolverine of the night in Gary. He’s a versatile lineman who can play at several spots on the line and should help the Green Bay run defense. Grade: C-

13. Miami Dolphins | Christian Wilkins | IDT | Clemson

Wilkins is a three-down lineman with a high motor. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that this the first pick of Belichick-disciple and defensive-minded Brian Flores with the Dolphins. Grade: A-

14. Atlanta Falcons | Chris Lindstrom | OG | Boston College

Matt Ryan was sacked 44 times last season. Lindstrom is being brought in to try to lower that number so Ryan gets more time to find Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. Grade: B-

15. Washington Redskins | Dwayne Haskins | QB | Ohio State

Washington has an unfortunate need at quarterback after losing Alex Smith to a gruesome injury. His 50 touchdown passes led the nation and threw only eight interceptions for the Buckeyes last season. Grade: A-

16. Carolina Panthers | Brian Burns | EDGE | Florida State

This could be one of the steals of the night for the Panthers. Burns slipped a bit because of the depth at the position but has the explosiveness who could make noise for Carolina. Grade: A+

17. New York Giants | Dexter Lawrence | DT | Clemson

The Giants use the pick they received for Odell Beckham to take the third Clemson defensive lineman of the night. Coming in at 340 pounds but has scary speed for his size coming off the line. Grade: C-

18. Minnesota Vikings | Garrett Bradbury | C | NC State

The Vikings needed help on an offensive line that allowed Kirk Cousins to be sacked 40 times. Bradbury is a plug-and-plug center that’s slightly undersized but can play at the guard as well. Grade: A-

19. Tennessee Titans | Jeffrey Simmons | IDT | Mississippi State

The Titans fill a need at defensive tackle but Simmons comes with some off-field issues. On the field, Simmons has the upside to be a top-tier player in this draft but is also coming off an ACL tear which may cause him to miss the season. Grade: C+

20. Denver Broncos | Noah Fant | TE | Iowa

The second Hawkeye off the board is also the second Iowa tight end off the board. Fant was the number two target behind Hockenson but averaged 13.31 yards per reception with seven touchdowns. Grade: B+

21. Green Bay Packers | Darnell Savage | S | Maryland

The Packers pick their second defensive player of the night, this taime addressing their second. Savage jumped up the board following the season and while undersized, he has the coverage and ball skills the Packers lacked last season. Grade: C+

22. Philadelphia Eagles | Andre Dillard | OT | Washington State

Possibly the best pass-blocker in the draft, the Eagles jumped up three spots to take Dillard. The redshirt senior allowed just one sack in Mike Leach’s pass-heavy offense. Grade: A

23. Houston Texans | Tytus Howard | OT | Alabama State

The Texans were tied to Dillard in a lot of mock drafts but the Eagles jumped them and Houston settles for Howard. He has the prototypical size of an NFL tackle but will be a project to develop. Grade: B-

24. Oakland Raiders | Josh Jacobs | RB | Alabama

It took one day for the Raiders to find Marshawn Lynch’s replacement in Jacobs. He’s a physical runner who can also catch the ball out of the backfield who could make the Oakland offense more versatile. Grade: B

25. Baltimore Ravens | Marquise Brown | WR | Oklahoma

The first receiver comes off the board to the Ravens at 25. Brown has the speed that could open up the field for Lamar Jackson and help Jackson develop his passing game. Grade: A-

26. Washington Redskins | Montez Sweat | EDGE | Mississippi State

One of the best edge rushers on the board fell all the way to 26 because of some medical issues found at the NFL Combine. He has the physical tools and length to make an instant impact in the NFL. Grade: B+

27. Oakland Raiders | Jonathan Abram | S | Mississippi State

Abrams is a hard-hitter who will make receivers have second thoughts about coming across the middle. His biggest value to the secondary is his versatility and his ability to play both free and strong safety. Grade B

28. Los Angeles Chargers | Jerry Tillery | IDT | Notre Dame

Tillery has the ability to play in either a 3-4 or 4-3 defense, he’s that dominant. He finished with eight sacks last season, including a four-sack game against Stanford. Grade: B

29. Seattle Seahawks | L.J. Collier | EDGE | TCU

A day after trading Frank Clark, Seattle replaces him with Collier. While undersized, Collier has the strength to disrupt the backfield, finishing with 11.5 tackles for loss last season. Grade: B-

30. New York Giants | Deandre Baker | CB | Georgia

The Giants traded back into the first round to take the first corner off the board. Baker has fantastic ball skills and plays well in man-to-man and zone. Grade: B+

31. Atlanta Falcons | Kaleb McGary | OT | Washington

The Falcons shore up their offensive line by trading back into the first round to take another offensive lineman. He excels in both the run and pass game but has average foot speed and his arms are on the shorter side. Grade: C+

32. New England Patriots | N’Keal Harry | WR | Arizona State

The defending Super Bowl champions close out the first round by giving Tom Brady another weapon to throw to. He’s a big receiver that can catch the ball at the high point and can be a contributor in the red zone that the Patriots lost with Rob Gronkowski retiring. Grade A
