The Oakland Raiders filled their biggest positional need with the No. 3 pick, selecting EDGE Clelin Ferrell out of Clemson.
Ferrell is an excellent fit in Paul Guenther’s 4-3 defense. the same defensive scheme ran by Clemson. In Clemson’s defense, Ferrell finished with a team-high 11.5 sacks. In Oakland’s defense, Ferrell will try to replace the hole on the edge that was left following the Khalil Mack.
The Raiders used their first of three first round picks on the edge rusher from Clemson to the surprise to some. EDGE Josh Allen from Kentucky, who was viewed as the second best EDGE, was on the board when the Raiders selected Ferrell.
The Raiders are next scheduled to pick at No. 24.
