While Sacramento Republic FC fans might be trying to forget the club’s 4-1 loss to Reno 1868 FC on Saturday night, they will always remember defender Mitch Taintor absolute rocket in the 12th minute.

The Republic have another shot at Reno on Wednesday night at Papa Murphy’s Park for the second round of the US Open Cup. Early in this 2019 USL season, the Republic sit in 9th place with 14 points. Saturday’s loss was the club’s first at home this season.
