Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley III was announced as a selection for the NBA All-Rookie first team on Tuesday, putting an exclamation point on a strong first season for the rookie out of Duke.

Bagley III was selected along with the rest of the top-five from last years’ draft: Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton, Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic, Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr., and Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young. It is the first time all top-five picks have made the All-Rookie first team since the 1984-85 season (Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon, Sam Bowie and Sam Perkins).

Playing in 62 games, Bagley III averaged 14.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and one block per game over 25.3 minutes per contest. Sacramento finished their season at 39-43, and with Bagley looking like the big-man of the future, the Kings are looking forward to taking a step forward in the 2019-20 season.
