With the A’s currently on a three-game losing streak, they’ll add some power to the middle of their lineup activating Khris Davis from the injured list.
Davis, who will bat cleanup tonight against the Astros, experienced left hip soreness after running into a railing against the Pirates trying to catch a fly ball on May 5. He was able to play in eight games following the injury but was placed on the IL on May 22.
On the season, Davis has 12 home runs in 43 games while batting .248 with an OPS of .815. In the corresponding move, the A’s optioned OF Skye Bolt to Triple-A Las Vegas.
